Students arrive at Bay by car, bus, foot, bike, and skateboard. Here is what you need to know about getting to campus.
How to Get to Bay
We are fortunate to call Presidio National Park our home, and while our campus may seem tucked away, it is actually quite accessible by a number of routes. The campus is located in the Main Post neighborhood of the park. Our main building is at 35 Keyes Avenue, and the admissions office is across the street at 36 Lincoln.
Public Transportation and Presidio Shuttle
The Muni 43 Masonic bus line serves the Presidio and stops right across the street from Bay. The 43 makes its way from the southern end of the city and enters the park at the Lombard Gate. The 30 Stockton stops at Sports Basement, which is just a quick walk to campus.
See public transportation routes.
The Presidio Trust operates two shuttle lines: the Presidio Hills route goes throughout the park, and the downtown shuttle loops between the Presidio Visitor Center and the Embarcadero BART station, with a few stops along the way through the Marina. Both are free for Bay students with school ID.
A sample route from the Mission would be to catch the 49 bus and transfer to the shuttle at Union and Van Ness—it takes just over 30 minutes from Mission and Van Ness.
A sample route from Glen Park would be to take BART to Embarcadero station and transfer to the shuttle, which stops just outside the BART station. There is also a downtown stop at the Salesforce transit center.
Driving, Carpooling, and Parking
There is a paid parking lot across the street from 35 Keyes; the payment machine is on the sidewalk as you cross toward school. In addition, there are multiple parking areas nearby; note that all lots are paid. Please do not park in the YMCA lot on Letterman Drive.
We encourage carpooling! Bay's family portal lets you search for families in your area in order to set up carpools.
Bay’s Bus Service
Bay’s bus service, provided by Zum, offers two routes: South San Francisco and Marin. Please note that due to the limited ridership, this is the only service that is not covered by Bay’s inclusive tuition. Below you will find the routes and schedule for bus service in 2024–2025.
Skateboards and Bikes
The school has rack storage for skateboards on the first floor and a bike rack out in front of the school.
