Bay Family Association

Welcome to The Bay Family Association (BFA). As important as our children's experiences are at Bay, so are ours as part of the family community, and the BFA works hard to create that community for all parents and guardians.

Our Mission

  • Cultivate and nurture a close sense of community and inclusion
  • Educate, engage, and activate parents and guardians in support of Bay
  • Appreciate and support the innovative and dedicated staffulty at Bay

Get Involved with the BFA

Our connection to Bay ties us together as a community. Your time is an invaluable contribution to Bay, and getting involved in BFA activities is a great way to meet other families and find your place within that community.

  • Attend First Fridays walks, grade-level events, Bay Splash, and school-wide Immersive Exhibitions
  • Participate as a day-of volunteer selling spirit wear at events, or for Bay traditions like the New Parents Dinner, Senior + Staffulty Dinner and Grad Night Party
  • Volunteer as a Class Coordinator, or on a committee as a Committee Co-Chair, or join the BFA Exec Team. Examples of committees include:
    • Staffulty Appreciation Committee
    • Community Parties Planning Committee
    • Spirit Wear
    • First Fridays walks
  • Participate in other volunteer activities like the Annual Fund or with Admissions

There are many ways to get involved, and we invite you to participate and share your skills and talents in a way that works with your schedule. Fill out our Volunteer Interest Form and someone will be in touch with more information.

Be sure to read The Current, the school's weekly newsletter, as well as the monthly BFA First Fridays newsletter for the most up-to-date information.

We want to hear from you! Please feel free to reach out with your ideas or questions at [email protected].

Looking forward to seeing you on campus,

Cori Schuman
BFA President, 2024-25

Throughout the school year, we host a variety of events for the school and parent community. Further, grade-level parent coordinators are in frequent contact with their classes to let everyone know about what's coming up.
