Athletics Highlights

The Bay athletic/activities program is in full spring swing. With over 140 athletes competing across eight varsity sports and 50 students participating in six different activity offerings, the Breakers are busy. Below are a few highlights of what’s been and what’s to come.

  • Bay sailing wins again: Competing on a beautiful winter day at the St. Francis Yacht Club in mid-January, the Bay sailing team captured their seventh San Francisco City Championship title in the past 12 years.

  • Winter sports night: Bay’s seasonal celebration to recognize all athletes—intramural, JV, and varsity—took place on February 25. Congratulations to the 19 All-League honorees, as well as the 19 seniors who wrapped up their winter sports careers at Bay.

  • Inaugural swim program: Nine swimmers have joined the inaugural season of the Bay School swim program, with students practicing three days a week at the YMCA Presidio Letterman Pool, and students opting-in to participate in Bay Area Conference swim meets.

  • Spring Sports Showcase took place Friday, March 21, at International High School featuring boys varsity volleyball and girls varsity lacrosse. The fans turned UP for the blue-out. Thanks, Breakers!
