Our painting students had a virtual studio visit with Lindsay Stripling in early April 2021 and had the opportunity to ask questions and dig into the creative process.
Lindsay talked about being interested in time and space and creating communities in dream worlds. Portals and windows into new places feature prominently in her work. During the conversation, Lindsay reflected on finding one's own creative style and allowing yourself to be surprised in the process of making. Her advice was to relish the idea part of the process—in that moment, anything is possible!
