Lilian Wan is an investment management executive and advisor. She is Executive Vice President of Investor Relations and Development at America’s Frontier Fund, an organization purpose-built to make America the best place in the world for innovators to build and scale the next wave of frontier technologies. She leads the organization’s efforts to develop long-term capital raising strategies, builds relationships with institutional investors, and oversees all fundraising activities. Previously, she was a senior executive at BlackRock, a global investment management firm, where during her 25-year tenure she helped lead its Institutional Client Business in the US and Canada. She played a pivotal role in formulating the growth strategy of that business, was instrumental in shaping its culture and talent management initiatives, and was responsible for advising its institutional shareholder clients. These clients represented the industry’s largest institutional investors across the federal government, corporate and public pension plans, and foundations and endowments. A child of immigrants, Lilian grew up in an environment in which academic excellence was stressed, and where different educational experiences were not an option. At Bay, she believes students have access to the area’s most innovative curriculum for educating our young people, and is drawn to helping Bay continue its mission. Her appreciation for Bay’s approach led her to want to contribute by serving on the board. Lilian holds a BA in economics from the University of Michigan and is a CFA charterholder.
