Dhruv started his career in marketing, and we are so glad he’s moved into being an educator. His own educational experience was shaped by one of his 7th grade teachers, Mrs. Wilder, who was the first to notice his neurodivergence and not only helped him to get organized but also fostered a love of reading and learning. Another impactful experience was studying the work of Henry James during a study-abroad program in Florence. So it makes perfect sense that Dhruv now teaches in the Humanities Department. He loves getting into deep conversations about history, philosophy, and language and seeing students discover their feelings and beliefs about weighty topics in the world.
Precept affinity: We value patience with ourselves and others; we don’t rush to judgment. “I love this because life can be difficult, and it’s so important to treat each other with love and err on the side of kindness. Also, things take time; it took me many years to find my career in teaching—patience helps ground us in compassion!”
Some favorite things: Acre’s chicken with vermicelli salad and his orange-and-teal socks with guitars
