A native San Franciscan, Lisa Lau Aquino attended The Hamlin School, all girls’ Kindergarten through Grade 8 school in San Francisco. After attending Lowell High School and U.C. Berkeley, she returned to Hamlin as a member of the faculty and taught for 16 years. Lisa has been the Director of Admission at Hamlin since 2002.
For well over a decade, she was a member of the Board of Holy Family Day Home, a preschool in San Francisco’s Mission district that serves primarily low income and homeless children. Lisa continues to remain involved at the preschool as an Emeritus member of the Board.
Lisa served as the founding President of the Bay Area Directors of Admission (BADA), a consortium of over 100 independent schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lisa is committed to supporting and mentoring admissions colleagues locally and across the nation and recently served on the Board of the Association of Independent School Admission Professionals (AISAP).
