Elizabeth has experienced first-hand the power of immersing herself in a new culture and language. After growing up in a small, rural community, studying abroad in Spain allowed her the chance to "leave behind all previous expectations and be whoever I wanted." This in turn inspired her to return to Spain to teach English and eventually become a Spanish teacher in the United States, hoping to enable her students to have eye-opening experiences by communicating in new cultures.
