Ms. King brings energy, fresh ideas, and deep literary knowledge to Bay’s humanities program. She teaches classes and material that help students understand the world around them and their place in it, and loves this work because “it allows us to explore ideas through literature, history, social sciences, art, and religion.” In fact, Ms. King designed the American Dream course as a way to investigate this dominant cultural idea from a variety of perspectives. Her formative educational experience was a summer in Paris during grad school studying Existentialism. Outside of school, she has been a driving force behind Moms Demand Action, which works to enact policies to end gun violence.
