Jay Grant joined the Bay community during the pandemic and despite the unusual circumstance, the experience of being a new family during such challenging times further emphasized to his family the thoughtfulness and caring with which the Bay School relates to the world.
He formerly served as a trustee at Marin Country Day School where he focused his attention on issues surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion. As a new board member at Bay, Jay is excited to continue the innovative work of the Board in defining the meaning of equity and inclusion, and shaping the school’s strategic vision into the future.
An alumnus of Duke University and the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Jay brings career experience that spans product marketing to executive emotional intelligence training to stay-at-home parenting. Currently, he is finishing his dissertation in media psychology through Fielding Graduate University with a focus on understanding better how people, especially younger generations, use digital media to regulate their emotions.
He and his husband, Craig Zodikoff, have a daughter in the Class of 2024 and a son in middle school.
